this journey is built around exactly that. Rather than chasing a checklist of islands, it settles deeply into two contrasting worlds.
The first is the Coral Coast, Viti Levu's sunlit southern shore, where Natadola Beach unfurls in a long crescent of powder-white sand widely rated among the finest in the South Pacific. Here, days move at the pace of the tide.
The second is the Mamanuca Islands, a scattering of coral-fringed islets in the turquoise shallows west of Nadi. Matamanoa is among the most secluded of them — a small, adults-oriented island where the reef begins a few steps from the sand and the horizon is interrupted by nothing at all.
